Toftir and Nes are the two villages in the municipality of Nes.
In the hills above Toftir is the new football stadium, constructed especially for international football competitions. Here you can also find Bed&Breakfast accommodation, especially for groups - there are also camping facilities.
Beyond the stadium further up in the hill is the beautiful lake, Toftavatn, surrounded by a unique heather area. A walk around the lake takes two hours or so and makes for a very pleasant outing. The view from on top affords a good view towards Tórshavn and the countryside.
The old wooden church and the new church in the parish of Nes are indeed worth visiting.
