This settlement was probably inhabited before year 1000. The walls of the main
building and additional houses have been restored to a height of 80 cm. You get
a good picture of the size of the buildings and you will see the position of the
fireplace in the centre of the room, the position of the benches and plank beds
and of course the animals. They were housed at the end of the main hall. This
is a glimpse of the Viking era and is located near the ferry berth in Leirvík.
